The climate crisis on African continent
Africa is at the frontline of the climate crisis, projected to become hotter and drier. Societal risks to food and water security will devastate the world’s most vulnerable communities.
In order to secure a sustainable, liveable future and become climate resilient, we need to rapidly adapt, mitigate and transform systems. The services and resources on this website provide opportunities to contribute to increasing climate literacy, supporting students to build capacity and governments to analyse policies and better prepare for the climate emergency.
Floods, drought, heatwaves and wildfires, to name a few of the extremities, are intensifying across the planet. To reduce the severity of the impacts, we must act urgently to implement adaption and mitigation strategies.
